The Hub! It’s All Right Here: Partnership with St. Vincent de Paul of Lane County

Willamette Family is happy to announce a project we recently launched with St. Vincent de Paul Society of Lane County (SvdP) named The Hub: It’s All Right Here! The program focuses on providing primary medical care, as well as substance use and mental health services for unhoused individuals.

The Hub: 717 Highway 99 North, Eugene OR

With the pressing need for accessible medical care and those experiencing homelessness in the community this partnership will allow unhoused clients to receive individualized care and the services they need without leaving the site. Without this service availability and support, most unhoused individuals have to wait until it is an emergency before seeking help.

We believe this project will be the start of an improved collaboration between local non-profits, government agencies, and community members. Our desired outcome for this program is to eventually provide small living communities to aid transitioning unhoused adults into permanent affordable housing.

Housing for Health: Willamette Family, Inc.

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Willamette Family, Inc. received funding through Kaiser Permanente’s Housing for their Housing Expansion program. Kaiser’s Housing for Health Initiative is to address the housing crisis in the most vulnerable community members, especially those with mental health and substance use disorders.

With this funding, Willamette’s Family, Inc.’s Housing Expansion Program engaged over 300 clients. They coordinated permanent housing for 122 residents, helped 37 clients access residential treatment, and connected clients to preventative care including primary care and oral health screenings. They also enrolled 100 clients in the “ready to rent” training programs to help clients learn how to be a tenant and meet their needs.
