What happens when I contact you?
- We will ask you questions to determine how best to support you. We will ask about what brought you to Willamette Family, the current resource you are looking for, and some other questions to help guide you to reach your goals.
What insurance do you take?
- We try to work with most insurance companies. Please call if you have any questions.
- We take most Oregon Coordinated Care Organizations (CCOs) like Trillium, PacificSource, IHN, and commercial insurance plans.
- Please call and we can answer your insurance or payment questions.
What if I don’t have insurance?
- We have some grant funded slots for individuals without insurance. There are some qualifications that need to be met to utilize these grant funds.
- We also work with you to enroll in the Oregon Health Plan (OHP) if you are eligible.
- There are payment and sliding fee scale options available as well. Contact us to schedule an appointment!
What does assessment look like?
- We provide a comprehensive assessment that allows us to provide the most appropriate care.
- The assessment includes a conversation with one of our assessment counselors in one of our facilities or we also do virtual assessments via Zoom.
- Assessment appointments typically take between 60 to 90 minutes.
How long will I be in treatment?
- The treatment timeline depends on many factors. It depends on what program you are enrolled in (residential, outpatient, detox) and what your individual goals and objectives are.
- Typically, Detox is complete within 4 to 10 days, residential can be completed within weeks or months, outpatient can be completed within weeks or months.
- Please call us if you have specific questions regarding treatment timelines yet no specifics can be provided prior to completing an assessment and treatment planning session.
What is a treatment plan (sometimes called service plan)?
- A treatment plan is something that you complete with your counselor. It takes your assessment and the recommended program or services as well as your goals and objectives. This is a flexible plan, or guide, that outlines what your goals are and what services and supports Willamette Family will provide to help you reach your goal.
Can I have my family involved in my treatment?
We make every attempt to include your identified family in treatment if you want them to be involved. Depending on the program you are enrolled in there are different ways to be involved and participate in treatment.

How does this agency address cultural competence and diversity in providing substance use services?
- At Willamette Family, we are committed to providing services that respect and embrace the diversity of our community. We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where individuals from all backgrounds feel understood and supported in their journey towards recovery. Our staff is trained to be culturally competent, recognizing and valuing the unique perspectives and experiences of each person seeking assistance. Our goal is to ensure that everyone, regardless of their background, receives compassionate and effective care tailored to their individual needs.
What steps should someone take if they’re seeking help for the first time?
- Contact us! We would love to answer your questions and let you know more about our programs.
Do you provide telehealth or online counseling services for individuals who may be unable to attend in-person sessions?
- Not all of our programs can be accessed with telehealth, but we do offer some availability and work with you to identify what works best for you.
What is the environment like in residential treatment?
- All of our services offered are voluntary. There are program requirements and guidelines in programs that are in place to provide a safe and therapeutic environment for all.
- We encourage you to include your family or support system in your treatment and recovery. Each program has specific guidelines for how to make this the most supportive activity and processes.
- Most residential rooms are shared rooms, and an emphasis is on connecting with other people in the program to create a support network and to encourage one another.
