Buckley at Risk!
For over 40 years, Buckley Center has saved lives and provided a safe, healing environment for literally thousands of individuals who are in desperate need because of the disease of alcohol or drug addiction.  Most are homeless, alone, and without resources. Buckley provides medically supervised sobering and detoxification services, hot meals, and a chance to begin on the road to recovery. Click here for program information
Because of the severe budget cuts in Lane County, this life-saving resource may cease to exist. Current funding lasts only through June 30, 2009. Without new revenue resources, the future looks bleak and there is no “back up” alternative. The individuals currently served by Buckley will have no option except for the emergency rooms and law enforcement. These costs will be significantly greater and do not provide the treatment needed for recovery.
